If your Chime card is lost or stolen, or you suspect an unauthorised transaction you can easily disable transactions. It will immediately block all the card withdrawals. This way, the transfers will be immobilised. It will only start working after the Chime Visa Debit Card replacement. Chime also helps to get a refund if an unknown transfer takes place before blocking your Chime Visa Debit Card. The article will provide detailed information about what should be done if you have misplaced your Chime Visa Debit Card.
The most important task to perform is to disable your card transactions. It will prevent unwanted sources from attacking your bank account. To disable your chime transactions-
- Go to the Security option under Settings
- Turn off Chime Card Transactions
If you notice unauthorised transactions, then you need to block your card temporarily.
Cancelling Unknown Transactions
You can also cancel unknown transactions. If you find them, call your merchant and ask them to cancel the transfer. Your money will be refunded within three or four business days. If this doesn’t work, contact the customer care support team and get it resolved.
Dispute Number if your Spending Account is Closed
You will receive an extra check for the amount that is credited to your account if transactions are disputed on the spending account.
Apply for a new Chime Card
Another major step is to Apply for a new Chime Card. You need to contact Chime customer care for the same. Specify the reason for the card replacement. Enter the SSN and confirm your request. The following are required for a New chime card-
- Full name(as mentioned on the Chime ACcount)
- Transaction history
- Spending Account Number
- Chime Card Number
You will receive your replacement within seven to ten working days.
Activate your new chime card
After receiving a replacement, request to activate your Chime card and reset your pin. It is done through the following process –
- After logging in to your Chime Account, you will be asked to provide
- Your pin
- Last four digits of your Chime Visa Debit Card
- Last four digits of the social security number
- CVV code present on the backside of the card
